If you go to Communications > Mailing, on the left hand side you will find a history of e-mails sent to your members.
If you then select a Mailing and select Recipients, this will show a list of recipients and a Status, if the status is showing Undelivered, if you click on Undelivered it will give you a reason why, below is a table with some common reasons and resolutions.
| Error | Reason | Resolution |
| 554 5.7.1 [internal] recipient address was suppressed due to customer policy | Recipients mailserver has rejected the email. | Check if the recipients e-mail is on the black list under Communications > Mailing > Check Email Blacklist, if they are Remove, if they aren't ask the recipients to add the sender e-mail as a safe sender1 , then try and send again. |
| 550-5.1.1 The email account that you tried to reach does not exist. | The e-mail address doesn't exist, could be a typo | Check the recipients e-mail address and update to a valid one on the member record, then try and send an email again |
| 554 5.4.7 [internal] message timeout (exceeded max time, last transfail: 451 Mailbox is full, deferring) | Recipients mailbox is full | It is likely the recipient will need to delete some e-mails to make space for new e-mails. |
1 We would also suggest any members with email delivery problems add the email domain “@hdid.co.uk” to their contact or safe senders list.
You can only check individual email addresses against the blacklist.
