This guide provides a comprehensive overview of managing casual booking types within your club, helping you effectively customise and streamline the booking process. Casual Booking Types are a very useful feature that allows you, and now players, to further classify their casual bookings. Making Booking Types available via HowDidiDo for example is extremely useful for clubs who run Knockouts for example. The participants can book their casual time and inform other players on the Tee Sheet what format they will be playing. Clubs can go one step further and ensure that no one else can join these types of bookings to ensure a smooth, efficient round for players using this booking type.

A list of your Booking Types will show. By default every club will have Competition/Roll Up and Knockout/Match Play.
When adding or editing a Booking Type, you will be able to enter a Description, choose whether this is enabled for HowDidiDo, choose whether members and visitors can book into partially booked times that have this booking type selected, and also choose what colour the booking type should be.

Selecting a Booking Type via HowDidiDo

When logged into HowDidiDo, select Booking, pick a day on the calendar and select "Book" next to the desired tee time.
In the booking screen, if a Booking Type is enabled for HowDidiDo then it will show up as a slider here.
Once someone has booked, and selected one of these Booking Types, the Tee Sheet will display this to other players.

If the booking type selected allows players to join the partially booked time, then there will be a 'Book' button on the right. If not, then the 'Book' button will be hidden.

Booking Type Colours

You can associate Booking Types with different colours. When you do this, the colour selected will display on the booking in ClubV1.
When adding or editing a booking, at the top you will see a drop down for 'Booking Type'. This is where you can manually change which booking type is associated with the booking, in case there's a mistake or the booking changes.
