ClearAccept MOTO (Mail-Order and Telephone Order)
All clubs with a ClearAccept “Virtual Terminal and MOTO” Service will now have an option for “MOTO Payment”, when adding a Top Up, Bill, Casual Booking or Function payment, which when enabled will hide the “Media” dropdown and will automatically set the media to be “ClearAccept MOTO”.
Top Up
Function
Casual Booking
Bill
When the MOTO Payment option has been selected the user will be asked to confirm the following Billing Address information, Forename, Surname, Email, Telephone Number, Address Line 1, Address Line 2, Postcode, Town/City, County and Country.
For Bill and Top Up MOTO Payments, the billing details will be pre-populated from the member record.
For Booking and Function MOTO Payments, the user will be able to use a “Lookup” search to populate the details or enter manually.
Once the Billing Address information has been confirmed the user will be asked to enter the persons, “Name on Card”, “Card Number”, “Expiry Date” and “CVV”.
Upon processing each payment, we will complete all the ClearAccept validation, if the payment fails then we will display a message, for example, “The payment was declined.”
If the payment is successful then we will close the modal and show a “Payment Successful” toast notification.
We will then show the MOTO payments in Finance > Merchant Payments, with the option to refund all Casual Booking, Top Up and Function MOTO payments.
Bill MOTO payments can be refunded in the same way a current member payment can be by de-allocating the money from the bill and selecting “Refund via ClearAccept”.
Virtual Terminal and MOTO are separate features, the Virtual Terminal should be used to process any unlinked adhoc payments which ClubV1 can’t handle such as Raffle Tickets or Equipment. MOTO should be used for linked payments, a club should not be processing a bill payment via the VT, they should be using MOTO.
