This guide offers a comprehensive overview of how to effectively utilie ClubSite for managing and customizing your club's web presence. It details the process of adding and editing pages, setting up navigation menus, and incorporating various media, ensuring users can create a tailored online experience that meets their club's needs.

  1. ClubSites are a convenient way to manage your Club's Website without the need ton have any prior technical knowledge. ClubSites work by allowing you to add 'blocks' to pages. These blocks make up the content of your ClubSite and we offer a wide range of them. ClubSites offer a wide range of customisation from backgrounds to fonts ensuring users can created a tailored online experience that meets their club's needs.

Intro

  1. Navigate to [https://www.clubv1.com/ClubSite/SitePages](https://www.clubv1.com/ClubSite/SitePages)
  2. Your Clubsite by default will have prepopulated pages and custom pages already created. Prepopulated pages are pages that can't be deleted but can be hidden from your clubsite. These are the Home, policy and terms and condition pages.

    The custom pages are ones that can be added, edited and deleted by the users.

Adding a new page

  1. At the top of the list of pages, there is a '+' icon. Selecting this will create a new page.Step 4
  2. You will be prompted to enter a name for your new page. Note that this page name must be unique.Step 5

Editing page details

  1. If you wish to edit any of the details for an existing custom page, you can select the page on the left and then select the highlighted icon below.Step 6
  2. When editing the page details, you have the option to remove the page, link it to a nav menu item, change the name, set whether the page name should show as a header on the page and change the status of the page. The status of the page can either be published or draft. Draft will hide this page from your clubsite.Step 7
  3. Once you are done editing the page details, select the save icon at the top.Step 8

Adding blocks to a page

  1. To add a block to your page select the '+' at the top.Step 9
  2. The "Add New Block" page will open. On the left of this page you can select what form of block you would like, for example a document block or a text block. Selecting this will then present you with all the different options on the right.

Block Settings

  1. After selecting a block, you will be presented with block settings on the right hand side.

    The first setting for each block is "Visible". This setting dictates whether this block should show on your live Clubsite or not. By default this will be set to "Hide" so the block doesn't show when not set up correctly so be sure to change this once happy with your block.

    You will be able to add Block headers and descriptions for your blocks. After this the block specific settings display, so for example on an Open Competitions block you can customise the colours.

Navigation Menus

  1. Click "Menus"
  2. You will first be presented with the "Menu Items" tab. From here you can create navigation menu items by selecting the '+'.
  3. The "New Nav Menu Item" page will display allowing you to name the menu item.Step 15
  4. After adding a menu item you will see it in this list. Selecting the menu item will give you further options on the right.

    You can update the name of the item, select a page to link the item to so when clicked the selected page will show and choose whether the menu item is hidden or not.Step 16
  5. Selecting "Add Child Menu Item" will allow you to create a new submenu item. This will convert the parent menu item into a dropdown menu and any linked page/custom URL assigned to the parent menu item will be removed.
  6. Child Menu Items can be accessed by expanding the Parent Menu Item as seen below.Step 18
  7. Premium product level users are able to add 7 custom menu items, with 3 custom sticky links and there's no limit on the number of child menu items that can be added per navigation menu item.

    For non premium product levels, you can have 3 custom menu items, 1 custom sticky link and 4 child menu items per navigation menu item.

Nav Menu Styles

  1. Select "Style" located under the "Navigation Menu" section on the left.
  2. You will be presented with 6 Nav Menu style options to select from. Non-premium user levels will be restricted to only the "Default" and "Balanced" styles.Step 21
  3. You can choose what shows on your Navigation Menu by selecting the "Settings" option on the left.

    You can choose whether the Club Crest and Club Name should show. Choose to use the Full Club name or Short Club name as well as selecting background and font colours for your Nav Menu.Step 22

Font Styles

  1. You have the option to select between various different font styles offered in the ClubSites. You can choose a font style for your Nav Menu, your blocks and the footer.

    A preview of the font will display in real time allowing you to view the font before deciding on it.Step 23

Background Menu

  1. Select the "Settings" option in the Background Menu section.

    This section allows you to select a Background Colour, change the font colours used and also select a background texture to be used. The background texture will apply alongside the background colour.Step 24

Footer Settings

  1. Select the "Settings" option in the Footer Menu section.

    This section allows you to select what information you wish to show in your page footers. You can also replace the background image for the footer with one from your media pool if you wish.Step 25

ClubSite Media

  1. Select "Media" at the top. This section allows you to upload media/images. The max file size you can upload is 4MB.

    You can upload an image by selecting "Upload Image" at the top.Step 26
  2. When adding the image, you will be taken to the Upload Image page. Here you will be asked to crop the image to one of the required ratios.

    The ratios are listed at the bottom and selecting these will adjust the ratio of the crop.

    You can rename the image making it easier to find at a later date in your list of media.Step 27

Domains

  1. Select the "Domains" tab at the top of the page.

    At the top of the domains page, you will be given clubsite domain. This domain can be used to preview your Clubsite before transferring your actual domain name.

    On top of the default domain name, you can link one additional domain name that you have elsewhere to your Clubsite.

    The default domain name and any successfully linked domain names will come with our free, automatically renewing SSL certificates.Step 28

Scripts

  1. Header Scripts allow you to use a 3rd party provider, such as Google Analytics, to track your website statistics and analyse site usage.

    Select "Add Header Script" and then you'll be presented with a box to enter the header script into. You can then select save and your website analytics will begin to be tracked.Step 29
