Closing Competitions and Competition Prints

This guide provides a comprehensive overview of how close competitions and generate competition prints. It details the step-by-step process for closing a competition, selecting report formats, customising divisions, and resolving ties. Additionally, it offers options for printing reports in various formats, catering to different needs and preferences.

Closing Competition

1. Navigate to your competition
2. Click "ACTIVE" on the competition overview
3. Click here.
4. Select that you wish to close the competition.
5. Click "Close Competition"
6. If you select to "Abandon" the competition then any scores entered will be entered into a player's handicap record as usual but the competition will no longer be used to enter any further scores.

Competition Prints

7. After closing the competition, the competition prints page will appear allowing you to select report to print/view.
   
   The first section of this page allow you to select the reports that you wish to print. You can select all or just select the ones you need.
8. The next section allows you to select further options for your print. For example if you want all of the reports you've selected to be printed all in one instead of generated separately you can select the "all in one" option.
9. Next you can select a format for your prints. If you've ran a stableford competition for example but want to also generate a Strokeplay print you can do this by changing the format here. This will not change the competition at all and as stated on the page, selecting a different format will not change player's playing handicaps.
10. The next step is divisions. You can choose whether your print should use the division settings from the competition or alternatively you can create your own custom division settings for the print.

Tie Resolution

11. The next section is for Tie Resolution. You can choose how to resolve ties, either using Nett, Gross or Fraction as well as selecting whether this should be based on the Back or Front 9.
    
    If the tie resolution fails to resolve the tie then when closing the competition you will be asked to manually resolve ties. You can choose here how much tie winners there should be in the competition print. If set to 1 then you will choose who wins the tie.
12. The finals sections of this page is to select whether you wish to apply a filter to the print. You will be able to select one of your existing saved custom filters from the dropdown.
    
    You can then choose which format you want the competition print in, whether this is PDF or CSV.
13. When you're ready to generate your print, select "View".

Alternative Competition Prints Method

14. Find the competition that you wish to generate a competition print for and select the "Competition Prints" option on the competition overview.
15. The competition prints page will load again allowing you to generate your competition print.
