Creating your Competition
- All of the competition templates support Services. In this guide we will be selecting Singles Mens Medal.
- For the time being, Services are only available to 'Members Competitions' and not Opens or Invitationals.
- Next in your competition set up, you must have Booking Enabled.
- If you wish for your services to be available for online bookings, you must also have HowDidiDo Booking enabled on the Booking Options step.
- You will then get to the Services Step. By default Services will be disabled for the competition. Select 'Yes'.
- New settings will appear below. The layout may look familiar for those who have used the Tee Sheet for casual bookings.
You're able to select your desired Service from the 'Name' drop down. As you can see I've selected 'Buggy'. - You can then select the quantity of the service that you wish to be available for the competition.
- When you select your quantity, the Services will be checked against the Tee Sheet to make sure that there are no conflicting service bookings already.
- You can now enter the rate for your Service. If you already have a Rate and Rule set up in the casual booking settings, this will filter through however if you don't, you will need to enter one manually.
Click [here](https://scribehow.com/viewer/Managing_Booking_Services__8FU6Tu0JTiSUj1gUCwE7LA?referrer=search) for a guide on adding a Service Rate and Service Rule. - You can make multiple services available to the competition by selecting the 'Add Service' button again.
- Click "Yes"
- You can then choose to 'Enable HowDidiDo Service Booking'. This works the same as HowDidiDo Forward Booking, allowing you to select Enabled From and Enabled Until dates and times.
- You can also choose whether Service Booking Payments should be refunded when a player withdraws via HowDidiDo, and until when.
- As stated in the Notebox at the bottom of the page. The selected number of Services will only be available to the competition, meaning they can not be booked in Casual Booking until the competition is over. The Services will also be charged to the members EPOS/Competition balance.
Managing Service Bookings
- Once you have created your competition, you'll notice a 'Services' option at the top of the page.
- On the Services Page to begin with, you'll see an 'Add Service' button.
- The 'Add Competition Service' page will display, on this page you'll be able to allocate a Service to an existing booking on the Startsheet. First select the Service.
- Next, select the 'Allocation' drop down and choose a booking from the Startsheet to allocate the Service to. This will show the Tee Time and the Player Name.
- Select the quantity of the service, each Service booking is limited to the amount of players per time. So if the start sheet is 4 players per time, you can allocate up to 4 buggies.
- If the payment has been handled already, for example paid in cash at the club, you can enable the 'Mark as already paid' option.
- Click "Confirm"
- The Services Tab will now show the Service Booking.
- From here you can Edit the service booking.
- Editing the Service Booking allows you to update the quantity, rate and total however you can not update the Service itself or the allocation.
- When making a change to the booking, if you wish for the funds to be handled by ClubV1 you will need to select the 'Refund and charge the member for the changes?' option.
Charging
- When a player books a Service, it will charge their EPOS/Competition Charges purse. As you can see below with the £5 charge. \
\
If a booking is edited and the quantity is increased for example, when you have the 'Refund and charge the member for the changes?' setting enabled it will refund the original paid amount and then charge the new amount. You can also see this below with the £5 refund, and then a £10 charge. This is because the booking went from 1 x £5 Buggy to 2 x £5 Buggies. - Removing and refunding a booking will refund the amount to their EPOS/Competition Charges Purse.
- On the Charges page of the competition, the Charges Table will now also show the Services like it does optional charges.
- The history view will show each Debit and Credit for the services.
Activity Log
- The Activity Log will fully track what happens with the Services.\
In the Competition Activity section, you will be able to see all the information from the Service Step of the Wizard, including when services are allocated to the competition, when they are updated or when they are removed. - The Round Activity will show you all the information regarding the actual service bookings, including when services are booked, edited and removed.
HowDidiDo Booking
- When members are booking into a competition with Services enabled, they will see a 'Services' button. Selecting this will show the table from where they can select the Service they wish to book and how many. If they wish to book multiple services they can use the 'Add Another Service' option.
- The Competition Booking Confirmation will show the Selected Services and Quantity.
- The booking confirmation emails have also been updated to show the Service Information at the bottom.
