Knockout Competitions

This guide provides a step-by-step process for organising and managing knockout competitions. It outlines how to set up events, manage participant entries, and perform draws, ensuring a smooth experience from start to finish. Additionally, the guide offers tips for communication with participants and the ability to customise competition rules and formats.

1. Navigate to [https://www.clubv1.com/Competitions/Knockouts](https://www.clubv1.com/Competitions/Knockouts)
2. Click "Add Knockout"
3. Enter a Knockout name.
4. You can enter Knockout Rules, these will be sent out to all participants with the Knockout Notification emails.
5. 0,Select the Knockout Format (Singles or Teams), select the Draw Type (Random or Seeded), the Knockout Gender, and whether to hide this Knockout from HowDidiDo and the ClubV1 Member's Hub.
6. Click "Continue"
7. Select a Course Card that will be used for the Knockout
8. Click "Continue"
9. Choose whether to allow sign-ins for the knockout via HowDidiDo, the ClubV1 Member's Hub and the PSI.
10. Click "Continue"
11. Choose if to charge to enter the knockout. The charging set up is the same as it is in competitions, allowing you to add charge items and set the price.
12. Click "Continue"

Adding players to the Knockout.

13. Click "Add Player"
14. Click the "Player" field.
15. Select the player that you wish to add.
16. Select "Entries" to see all the entrants in the knockout. From here you can edit the entry to change the player, or delete the entry.

Performing a knockout draw

17. Click "Draw"
18. Click "Draw"
19. Click "Draw"
20. A draw will then be performed. The draw will either be random or seeded based on what the Draw Type in the Knockout settings is set to.
    
    You're able to change the date of each round by selecting the date.

Draw Options

21. You're able to print the Draw by selecting the "Print (HTML Report)" option.
22. You can send an email to the entrants in the draw by selecting "Notify Entrants"
23. In the notify entrants page, you can either notify them of the draw or once a winner has been confirmed you can notify the entrants of the winner.
24. The email preview will allow you to construct the email text before sending an notification to the entrants.

Entering round winners

25. You can click on the empty slots in each round to select a winner.
26. The Knockout Match Result page will appear, you can select the winner and then optionally enter the Holes Up and Holes Remaining.
27. Click this dropdown.
28. Click "Save Result"
