Open Competitions

When creating a competition as an open competition you can now set member and visitor charges, this is reflected when booking via HowDidiDo

To find opens on HowDidiDo , you can search for the club and click the open competitions tile or you can use the Opens menu on HowDidiDo and search for Open using Town/City, Radius, Dates, Comp Format & Gender

You can make it mandatory for the visitor to input the CDH number, this helps with score submission back to the home club and verifying the players handicap index, the setting for this can be found under Club > Settings > Golf Settings > Open Competition Settings.

Open competitions integrate with HowDoiPay powered by ClearAccept to take payment for Open Competition Bookings.

You can choose if members can pay via there members card or if they have to pay via Debit/Credit Card or you can give them the choice of either.

Creating an Open Competition

To create an Open Competition, go to Golf > Fixtures > Add Competition

On the Details step of the Competition Wizard you will need to select Open (Allow Visitors)

On the Booking step of the Competition Wizard you will need to select Enable Startsheet for this Competition

Then on the Booking Options step of the Competition Wizard you will need to tick Enable HowDidiDo booking for this competition.

On the Charging step of the Competition Wizard you will need to select Enable Competition Charging?
When you enable the Mandatory Charge Item, you will be given an option to set a Member Fee and a Visitor Fee. The When to charge for item must be set to Booking
