This guide provides a straightforward process for performing a draw in ClubV1 competitions, a crucial feature for organizing fair and balanced tee times. It outlines different draw types, including Random, Balanced, and Matched options, allowing users to tailor the draw to their competition's needs. .
- Navigate to the competition. This competition must have Zone Draws enabled in the competition wizard.
- Click "Booking"
- Click "Perform Draw"
- The starsheet draw page will display. The first step on this page is to select a draw type.
The first draw type is "Random" which as expected, will randomly draw players/teams into times.
The second draw type is "Balanced". This will draw players into times and try to keep the average of the handicaps as balanced as possible. It may do this by matching a high and a low handicapper into a time or drawing two mid range handicap players into the same time.
There are then three "Matched" options. What this will do is match players based on HCP and then assign these players to the tee times either based on Ascending HCPs, Descending HCPs or just Random Tee Times. - The next step is to select the "Position of Spares". You can either choose "End" or "Beginning". What this means is. if there are people who can't be matched as a part of the draw, the will either be placed at the end of the tee sheet or at the beginning depending on which option is selected.
- Once you are ready to perform the draw, select "Perform Draw" on the right.
- Please note that performing a draw in clubv1 will draw either individuals or predetermined teams into times on the start sheet. This will not draw individuals into teams however.
